HarperCollins Childrens Books has bought four books in a new series described as "the first multi-platform, interactive, digital mystery for teens".
The Amanda Project will be told across social networking websites, blogs and books. Fourth Story Media, which is behind the mystery, will produce all of the content using a team of young adult authors, artists and graphic designers.
Readers will be able to access a social networking website, where they can interact and become characters in the mystery, read blogs chronicling the story as it unfolds and follow clues and posts on satellite sites.
